Anderson assisted with management in the preparation of a site reclamation plan, health and safety programs, and project design drawings for closure of the former Bluewater Uranium Mill in New Mexico. The mill had been the second largest uranium processing facility in North America. Site closure including the placement of all mill tailings, contaminated soils and demolished mill structures into six encapsulated disposal areas. The site was accepted for closure in 1997 by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission as the first Title II site. Anderson continues to provided sampling and maintenance to the site.
